My 'testing' of JabRef goes up and down with when I use JabRef, which
is when I write papers, and in particular papers with new
references... I have to say that, increasingly, I use online cites
like CiteULike to copy/paste BibTex entries directly into the file,
instead of via JabRef, and keep JabRef for when reorganizing things,
or some mild clean up...

Now, moreover, I typically only use a subset of the functionality, but
seen the number of downloads of the 2.5b2 (1700+ !), I'd say you would
have received some bug reports if there were serious issues... I am
now downloading the beta, and will run some tests based on my use...

And, thanx for keeping this project going!

Egon
