Title: RE: RFC: Collections Package

Yeah.  I was a bit torn on that point too.

On the one hand, I'd prefer to package it parallel to the Java Collections Framework, which is of course java.util.*.  But like you said, *.util be too broad of a category.  What I'd really like to do is see the java.util.* collections moved to java.collections or java.adt or something, but I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen.

I'm OK with making it org.apache.commons.collection (or collections?), especially if that will keep people from wanting to put random utilities in there.  Anyone else have an opinion on that? Singular or plural?

How about using the package org.apache.commons.collection.* as
org.apache.commons.util.* seems to broad for me ;)
