I agree with Vincent ... the Commons sandbox isn't designed to be a
dumping ground for code nobody else wants; it is for experiments and
collaboration on potentially shareable components.

I've just encouraged the Taglibs crowd (who was considering the using the
Commons sandbox for user-contributed tags as well) to vote to create their
own jakarta-taglibs-sandbox repository.  The technical details are
trivially simple, and this would clearly link the new repository with the
Taglibs project.  I'd encourage the Ant crowd to do the same thing.  (And
I'm going to take my own advice on Struts for contributed stuff that we
haven't had time to integrate yet :-).
