Well, I don't think Slide builds with the current main branch, but I'm not
too sure. There's also the maintenance problems.
We may update to 1.0.

Rodney's refactoring should not be released as 1.1, given the amount of API
changes.

I don't agree with the project's direction. For example, Rodney just removed
the interceptors. So I won't endorse or use the post 1.0 version ...
However, I may need a few of the features which will be added after 1.0
(digest support, etc), so since it's been next to impossible for me to
influence this component, I don't see how I can avoid having to fork it
back.
