Rob, This is getting more interesting by the minute! I reconnected my display to match your setup, took the example, changed it to print_hex, compiled it against the beta2 release and it is working okay!
So what's different? Your hardware? Could be, but the display works? The programmer? It uses pins b6 and b7, which are also used by the display. And again - the display works. Libraries? I guess you use the jallib beta2 also... Compiler? I use 2.4 of june5. That's 2.4g, isn't it? So I tried 2.4h (sept 15) and that runs too... Can you send all the project files (source, asm, hex) of the non-working setup?
