The naming of the var (conversion time) is incorrect, it should be
aquisition time.

We could change the acquisition time setting from a param to a
constant, defined before you include the lib. I don't think there will
be many cases where you want to change the acquistion time runtime.
But we have to make sure its value is in range.

Maybe this is not worth the effort and should we only change the name
of the var.
