That would be no problem for a library controlling his chips, but it might
be a problem if we provide the controller code itself. This is what I'd like
to do: providing jal code so people can program it to their favorite PIC,
and build their own K107 controller. So the question is: can we, do we have
the right to implement the K107 protocol, or is it something he, and only
he, can do ?

I'd say not having the code is not a problem. Would be better this, but it's
not mandatory.

I've searched too, no copyright notice. Could you also ask him if we have
the permission to implement the K107 protocol ? (again, completely different
from providing a lib to access a K107 controller. Let me know if I'm not
clear enough, at the present time, I tend to write things no one can
understand. I myself barely can...). If we can't, we may need to design our
own protocol... Not a big deal, but just a waste of time.

It's been a while he's not posted here. I remember he "recently" posted on
jallist. We often tried to catch his attention ("Eur ?" in subject, like
this one). I guess (and hope) he's just very busy.

Cheers,
