Comment #2 on issue 94 by robhamerling: Legacy aliasing enhanced modules in
device files
http://code.google.com/p/jallib/issues/detail?id=94

I'd like to start with the ECCP module, used by the PWM library.
It would be 'alias ECCPxCON is CCPxCON', like currently done in
pwm_hardware.jal.

Most PICs have their CCP modules decently numbered 1,2,3, etc., regardless
if it
concerns is legacy or enhanced. This won't give naming conflicts.
However some PICS (e.g. 18F448) have both a CCP1CON and an ECCP1CON
register. In that
case an 'alias ECCP1CON is CCP1CON' would have as result that the other CCP
module
would be controlled.
The current PWM library does not alias in this case, which means that the
enhanced
CCP module cannot be used with this library.
Another possibility is to rename ECCP1CON to ECCP2CON and alias that to
CCP2CON. If
there don't rise other conflicts this seems a better solution.
