Well first experiments reveal lots of (sub)issues: 1. Not only ECCPxCON has to be aliased, but a number of related registers and bits or bitfields spread over different registers. 2. Microchip chaos: for the 18f448 I see in the datasheet PIE2_ECCP1IE, but in the .dev file (and consequently in the device file) PIE2_CCP2IE!
