I only have one and need more. 3) What you want is a PIC to read the GPS and adjust the control. store that in EEPROM and then you only need to plug in the TTL GPS occasionally, as the GPS only works near window. Run the PIC off the TCXO and then it can accurately compare itself with GPS when available and create adjustment to TXCO. Oven units are bulky and power hungry and over €100. For many applications the occasionally corrected (with stored correction) TXCO will be good. Based on price of the Frequency Counter *SOMEONE* must be selling TCXO for under $5? Here in Ireland there is a Wireless Broadband that uses beacon on Mast so that subscriber unit needs no Oven (TXCO not good enough for a 10.6GHz Transmitter). The hilltops have 10.252 GHz beacon based on €200 oven crystal. Free frequency standard if you have a 10.2GHz receiver locked to it!
