I follow that thread and found your answer. Didn't you?

I found my answer for VDD. I think my schematic on the website is good
now, but some disagree.

You ask questions but don't answer them. :-)

I did answer

I asked if you followed the links. You did not answer that question.

BTW, as you didn't answer the question, I have to assume you just wanted
the folks on the piclist to agree with you, and did not follow the
links. If you looked at Olin's ICSP page and the link to the piclist
ICSP circuits you would have seen a circuit by jinx on how to add a
reset button.

I was asking them about VDD, they answered me fine. I found the answer
I was looking for on piclist.

VDD will damage some programmers, put a jumper, let user choose.

I take it that Mike's circuits don't please you either because they
don't have a reset circuit. You are a hard guy to satisfy, aren't you.
People with much more experience then you or I have given you circuits
but still you plod on.

I am trying to satisfy everyone other then myself. I was happy with my
original schematic. I would like a schematic that works for us all so
I don't hear more complaints, this is why I am hard to satisfy.

The only thing that you had wrong, as far as I was concerned, was no Vdd to pin 2. I could not use *that* circuit with my PicKit2 and the Wisp628 and other programmers would not have worked either. So you would have had a lot of complaints from the Tutorial readers that your circuit didn't work. You went off on a tangent about a reset circuit, which confused the issue and the people you were trying to get help from.

You gave me a good circuit from microchip with no reset button so I
had to modify it. Do you like the schematic I choose?

I think you are ok with the current schematic, and I think Joep is ok
with it as well.

If you like it, then it's OK by me. I would not use it myself but what does that matter, it's your Tutorial, not mine.
