I think it was right for jaluino to be a separate group. You could be interested in Jaluino very easy and have little or no interest in Jallib. There is many that may be interested in Jal and some in Jallib, but have no interest at all in Jaluino. Lots of people may only use Jal / Jallib for PIC (it's a good solution) and have no interest in JAT. Also someone could easily have great interest in JAT and using Jal for AVR/8051/68HC11/Arm/MIPS whatever and have little or know interest in Jallib. If this hosting was using phpBB, drupal Forums*, Simple Machines or vBulletin, then having separate sections for different interests relating to Jal and Pic is possible, but it's plain awkward and "noisy" having different interests in same place in Google Groups. (* this forum plugin (drupal) could be added for free to jaluino site and then you could have all under one umbrella http://www.techtir.ie/forums ) TBH I dislike yahoo groups and google groups interface and structure, but it's bearable if there is only one subject/interest per group. I dislike Google's and Yahoo's intrusiveness (esp. Google). You really need to be very poor to need either for a new interest, my hosting and domain names costs a fraction of a broadband subscription. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "jallib" group.
