This is a big difference with jallib, where hardware isn't defined. Since it's defined with Jaluino, many things can be simplified for users. For instance, "jaluino_medium.jal" includes 18f4550, setups different fuses, clock, pin mapping, etc... So "include jaluino_medium" is enough to get a board ready to work with. If unhappy with some defaults, you can still write your own statements, ala jallib. As with jallib, you have sample code in order to do this. As for jallib libs themselves, Jaluino uses the exact same version. In Jaluino repository, jallib is an external SVN source (svn:externals). Each update in jallib gets propagated to Jaluino repos. There's no risk of getting libs out of sync. When released, some libs in jallib are copied to packages. For instance, only 18f4550 and chipdef are considered in include/device. All these libs are flattened with Jaluino proper libs into a same directory, just like jallib does when released, except here, there's a filter. > > I would rather keep Jaluino libs here, although it's discussion could > be elsewhere. Jaluino to me is Hardware, not software. It's hardware, it's software on PIC side, it's software on PC side (IDE, bootloaders, ...), it's integration.
