Can I enable -no-variable-reuse for any sample ? I guess no as some

Only a few samples will run out of memory: 16f676_lcd_hd44780_..
I'm suspecting 16f877a_fat32_small_pata_hard_disk.jal could take a lot of
time since this option isn't enabled (16F).
Yes!

You want to specify such an option for each individual sample???
Compilation step has timed out, I've already increased timeout value
5400secs.
That's pretty long (compared to my PC)! Wouldn't it be more effective to
spend a few Euros to upgrade your server than spending time on
complicated scripts. Note: Everything benefits of the faster PC, not
only the compilation of samples!
I recently replaced the 3.3 GHz Celeron (single core) on one of my PCs
by a Core-duo 2.4 GHz E6600. Made the system about 2 times faster. This
PC (with SATA disks!) compiles all samples (all with -no-variable-reuse)
in about 140 seconds. Costed me 35 Euro (new CPU bought for 55 Euro,
old CPU sold for 20 Euro). But if the server PC is a bit old it maybe
not worth to upgrade...
On my other PC (AMD Athlon X2 3800+) the compile of all samples takes
about 250 sec., but this PC has PATA disk.
Regards, Rob
