Rob, this is strange because PIC18f67j50 (USB PIC) datasheet says 3904
bytes ram, and compiles with 3808 ram. Only 96 bytes difference,

After reading many Microchip datasheets and MPLAB device .dev files I'm not surprised anymore by any inconsistencies in Microchip documents!

The .dev file of the 18f67j50 doesn't mark the USB RAM as protected, hence the Jallib device files declares it as available for general us. As simple as that. And I think there is a difference between the 18f67j50 and the 18f4455. I don't like to quote large parts of datasheets, but the description of data memory is somewhat different. The 18f67j50 seems to be more flexible with memory for user program and USB module.

BTW The difference (3904-3808)has to do with the accessbank, which is shared memory and not for user programs with JalV2.

Regards, Rob.
