Hi Guys,

I think we should be changing our ways with the new releases after 1.0.
I've seen many requests to provide a complete package. It seems obvious to
me that we need to change some things.

For the next release, I suggest we release 2 packages. One would be the
same as we have now, and another will be a full install package. If nobody
here is concerned with download size, we can do only one large package.

The full installation package would contain:
1. The current compiler.
2. An IDE.
3. Documentation.
4. An installation script for windows (hopefully usable with wine).

Jaledit may not be the best IDE out there, but it is a decent one to use
until there is a better solution. Nobody is forced to use it, it would be
there for new users.

Sunish currently provides a package for this, but it's not always up to
date. Maybe he can provide us with what he has so far.

What do you guys think?

On a side note, I'd like to keep all of the previous releases of jallib on
the justanotherlanguage.org download page. Where can I find them all?

Matt.

Thanks, I could download it now!
While doing this I noticed a big difference in size between the ZIP
files of the bee package and the Jallib release 1.0.0. I expected that
the packages were essentially the same. However the Jallib release does
not contain the compiler, not the tutorial and starters guide PDF files.
I don't know if this difference in contents has always been there, but I
wonder if this is what we want.

Regards, Rob.
