I agree it is trivial to fix. I think it is is even more trivial than what Iwasa is 
suggesting.

In Avalon this would be the fix.

I am fairly certain this Avalon bug can be worked around inside James in a fairly 
contained manner.

If this is to be done in 2.1, and no one else has started doing work on this, I can 
put together a patch. 

The patch I was thinking of would be about ~10 lines of code change in James. 
Basically the problem is name of repository key depends on initialization order. This 
can be fixed in Avalon or reset in in AvalonMailRepository.
