Ok: so now I am using Jserv 1.0b3 and getting the exact same error.

I dont care about perl. All I want to do is use servlets with apache.
Is it possible to disable perl module?

It is a bit disheartening that doing a standard apache install on a very std
linux system (no changes whatsoever) is causing grief. And also on apache
installation, I did not see any error messages whatsoever indicating any
problems.

Thanks in advance.

Pavani.
