I have this weird problem I cannot seem to figure out. it is probably something I
have done related to permissions. I have Apache up and running fine; I can get the
Apache test page perfectly well. However, when I created another director under
htdocs called 'jservdocs' and tried to access that directories index.html, I get
the "The requested URL /jservdocs/manual was not found on this server" message. I
noticed a difference in Owner and group (the /manual subdirectory with the Apache
manual works fine); they are both '1078'. I cannot find that user in the passwd
file.
Is this problem with permissions? Why would an http: not be able to see a
directory there? I checke my <Directory> container and it has the path to the
'htdocs' subdirectory. Any ideas?
