I was also curious about that "server-side" description.
Well, if we take into account the delay (10 months or something close I think),
it certainly implies that they have done lousy job with the gui!
But anyhow, even gui-less performance is fine, as one of the major performance
flaws of java is in computation (stuff that takes 0.5s in C++ might take well
over a minute in java - and that's from personal experience).
The articles refer something like 1.5 times slower than compiled C++. Well,
this is ins't bad! (certainly better than the current 100x performance
decrease) - but i have to wait and see for myself.
