I suppose that the "All Sun cares about is that *all* implementations of Java
conform
to the spec" is a believable justification for SUN's lack of supporting
other ( non-intel )
'porter's of their JDK. I'd love to have my non-comm JDK 1.2 on Linux/Alpha
to be just as
compatible as anyone-elses, but this does not appear to be in SUN's
magnanimous vision. It also doesn't
appear to be in yours either :-{
