Hi,

The short answer is: You can't!
DPI is only applicable to printed material and printers.
The Image on screen knows nothing about how it is going to be printed, all it know is: at screen-coordinates(x, y) draw a pixel with color(color).

Subject: [JAVA2D] To extract DPI from an image

Hi,
I have to extract the information regarding the DPI(dots per inch)
from an image. But all the methods in BufferedImage, Raster etc.
return the height / width in pixels.
Request if anybody knows the method to extract dimensions in mm or inch,
so that DPI of the image can be calculated.
Thanks in advance.
