Hi all,

I am trying to ascertain what effect a second processor, running on Windows
NT, has on a Java 3D scene incorporating *only* animation. We're currently
getting only about 4 fps with a complex scene (lots of polygons used to
approximate curves). We have experimented using much simpler artwork, and
still get only a max of about 15 fps.

Before anyone asks, we've benchmarked this on three machines, all Pentium
II-350 or faster, under Windows NT and Windows 95, with two different AGP
video cards (Diamond Stealth V770 Ultra AGP and a Matrox 3D accelerator).
No machine shows an appreciable result. Also, there is no processing that
our program is doing to cause the FPS to drop like this. Performing only
rendering of the artwork runs at 4 fps.

Realistically, we would like to get at least 10 fps with the more complex
artwork. Will a second processor help us with this?
