I am also looking for this in order to implement a basic particle system.
Is this feature just missing, or is there another way to do this? It seems
that some of the intersection test code for picking behaviour could be
easily extended to add point of intersection.
Also, will the Canvas3d.getComponent2D() operation be implemented in the
next beta, or fcs?
