Jeff - we are already at the mercy of different implementations. Just
look at how textures display on current Voodoo 3 drivers vs another card
(or software rendering). 3dfx knows this is a known bug in their
drivers and plans to fix it. We will always be dealing with issues like
this where a driver doesn't properly function (and the user may or may
not know how to update their drivers).
