I'm looking for a couple of lines to jam into my JAR manifest to
automatically cause the Java plug-in to download and install Java3D 1.2 into
the "ext" directory, thereby giving my application (and others) complete
access to Java3D. I have no problem with it asking the user for permission
(since it does involve native code), but otherwise it must be fully
automated.

I've tried several times to do this myself, but had problems with the
"extensions" capabilities in Java 1.3. It seems to me that it should be as
easy as I described above: simply a couple lines in the manifest, or in an
HTML page. Can anyone give me the lines that are required, or explain why
Sun can't provide an extensions downloading framework that is as easy as
this?
