Hi Roy,

   Are you using Geometry by reference ? There is an open bug 4440671
- JFTC: GeometryByReferenceTest throws exception at executeVA intermittently

which may be related. (This does not affect DirectX version of Java3D)

To verify if this is the same bug, please download the
JDK1.3.1 RC1 from

http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/earlyAccess/j2sdk131/

You should see a stack trace when the system crash.
Please send us the trace for investigation.
