Yes, Alan H is currently playing with this for some work we are doing
for Elumens. They have spherical projection routines that need to play
with the buffers. It sorta works (we need to trap pre and post render to
do the setups for the elumens lib). Hopefully Alan will pop up here and
give more details. Last I heard he had it doing 2 renders, but not the
required 3. For one I know that we've gone direct with JNI and doing it
in native code rather than with GL4J.
