Jonathan,
You may already know about my Java3D Molecular Visualisation System that's
been around for a a couple of years?

Subject: [JAVA3D] Picking!
Good day!
Thanks sir Paul!I saw the printCanvas3D class and saw the print utility
there.
I have also seen JMol (A java-based molecular viewer) and have seen the
utility of exporting to images.This is done by passing a buffered image to
the classes that convert into GIF or JPEG.
I have another question and this is my scenegraph:
[Simple UNIVERSE]

============

|pick object|----|BG| |View Branch|

|SPHERE| |
|TG2| -----> pick capability set

|Cylinder|
1) Can I get the point(With respect to TG1) when I pick the Cylinder Object?
I created a Vector3d object (Vector1) along the X-axis of TG1.
Another vector object (vector2) will be created along (0,0,0) of TG1 to
the obtained obtained.
From there, getting the angle between vector1 and vector2.
This will be used for evaluation of orientation...
2) What does bounds intersection testing and geometric intersection testing
mean?
A) From what I understand, bounds intersection testing means that testing
for picking will happen
on the created bounds region.
B) Geometric intersection testing means testing for picked objects will
happen when picking
happens on the created geometry. WHAT is that created geometry?
3) What are PickShape classes? Are the classes under the pickshape class
used for intersecting?
(E.g.:PickRay,PickSegment,Pickpoint)
ThankS :) :)
