This sounds like a problem with the driver for your video card.

Further indication of a problem with the driver. If it runs correctly
everywhere except the hw driver on one board then the problem is very likely
with the driver for that board.

Try to get a new driver from S3. Since you are using OpenGL, another
alternative is to change from using a negative offset on the wireframe shape to
using a positive offset on the shaded shape. Or, you can try using the DirectX
version of Java 3D. In this case, keep using a negative offset on the wireframe
since DirectX only supports negative offsets.
