It is great to see so much demand for Java 3D on the Mac, OS X. Keep contacting
Apple regarding this. You are their customers and customers have the most
important voice. I believe they do understand the importance of Java 3D, but may
need to be reminded from time to time. There is alot of demand (I have saved
over 200 messages regarding this).

Regarding having it running within Apple, last summer (2000) we did a quick
test port, with Apple, to OS X. Within a couple of days we were able to get some
images on the screen. It was just a test, and it uncovered some bugs. It was
just a test !!

I believe that Apple stated and had a slide in their talk at JavaOne that they
were interested, along with JAI, but had to finish some other Java work first.
Also, one of their directors had made some statements in one of the trade
magazines regarding their desire to have Java 3D available.
