Thanks for the update, Paul.

I'm still concerned that this code seems to blow up under Mozilla and Linux
as well as IE6.0, and it blows up only when I close the applet (implying the
destroy() method is invoked).

Either its a plugin problem or my code is wrong.  Not the type of browser.
