Hmmm. I know the company that manages the site recently did some

maintenance, but I don't know what it was actually.

As for NetBeans vs. Forte, Don't expect a whole lot of visual
differences. Actually besides the fact that the latest NB (3.3.0
and 3.3.1 should be out next week) is somewhat newer than Forte
3.0, there isn't a lot different under the hood either. They both
come from the same source tree.

Sun takes a frozen version of the source tree every so often,
Adds a few modules (to the free CE version, and bunch more to
the EE version) runs it through a (probably) stronger QA cycle,
packages it up and releases it as Forte. So the most noticable
difference will be which modules come installed by default.

Forte and NetBeans can even share modules (aka plugins) most
of the time.
