I'm quite interested to see the results of the ROAM
implementation you're working on.  What qualifies as
"small" with regard to your test terrains?

Does anyone else out there care to share any
performance statistics they're getting out of their
own Java3D CLOD terrain engines?  Ideally, such
numbers would be accompanied by the
geometric/texture/lighting complexity of the terrains,
the hardware/software it's running on, and (hopefully)
a brief mention of the underlying algorithm in use (if
it's not top secret, of course).
