A new book features a demonstraion of
  the interactive "picking" of objects
in a 3d Scene created from a VRML data file,
and all the source code and data files are
___ free ___ and are freely available.

The VRML file is read and rendered, and with
your mouse you can "pick" objects in the
scene and it has an interactive representation of
the Java3d Scenegraph that allows you to expand
and collapse branches of the Scenegraph and examine
the contents of the nodes of the scenegraph tree.

It uses the popular, portable Sun VRML Loaders.

  |
  | Picking of VRML objects with your mouse is
  | demonstrated in a new book, _ Java _ 3D _ Programming _,
  | by Daniel Selman ...
  |
  | The source code is avaible for free. [ links below ]

  False again Justin.

The Sun VRML Loaders are still on line,
the Sun VRML Loaders are still widely used -- used in this book --
the Sun VRML Loaders can animate Web3d's VRML based H-Anim Avatars
in a browser, on Windows, Linux, and other Unixes, and I believe
the Sun VRML Loaders are the most capable VRML Loaders available
for Java3d and I believe the *** ONLY *** way to animate
Web3d's H-Anim Avatars with PROTOs and TouchSensors starting
Gesture Animations of and multiple moving Joints with
Java3d (that being the metric I'm using to judge 'most capable')

Justin, can the 'new' Loaders animate Web3d's VRML based H-Anim
Avatars with TouchSensors activating coordinated Gesture movements
of multiple, synchronized Joint rotations, and do it in a browser
( as it can be done with the Sun VRML Loaders ) ?

The "Core Web3d" book from Pentice Hall with Justin Couch
as the 'Java expert' for Aaron Walsh falsely leaves one
with the impression that Sun VRML Loaders cannot be used
for animating Web3d's H-Anim Avatars: They can, I've done it.

Mr Badler, does the NSF 'disclaimer' mean that students
working for you can lie, threaten, slander, and otherwise
do things that would otherwise be considered
illegal, unethical, and unacceptable, and determintal to
the interests of the National Science Foundation, and the US ?

Mr. Badler, Rita Colwell: the number of posts to the
to Web3d's H-Anim list has fallen dramtically since the
"Couch-Beitler Flame War" ( just 8 posts so far in 2002 ),
do you think Matthew Beitler's conduct has been 'exemplary'
or detrimental to the interests of the NSF and counterproductive
to open, cordial, productive disscussions on Web3d's H-Anim
list and the Java3d-interest list ?

Ms Colwell, as the Director of the National Sciene Foundation,

  would you please tell us:

Do lies, threats, and vulgar language help make for
  effective communication and productive discussions
in public, technical forums related to, and a part
of the National Science Foundation's objectives and goals ?

Can lies and criminal threats be considered:

"opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations"

in the NSF 'disclaimer' as sited by Norman Badler ?

Norman Badler, can H-Anim Avatars be animated with Java3d ?
Matt Beitler, can H-Anim Avatars be animated with Java3d ?
Sandy Ressler, can H-Anim Avatars be animated with Java3d ?
Don Brutzman, can H-Anim Avatars be animated with Java3d ?
Justin Couch, can H-Anim Avatars be animated with Java3d ?
Rita Colwell, can H-Anim Avatars be animated with Java3d ?

Can Web3d's H-Anim Avatars be animated with the 'new' Loaders ?,
the Sun VRML Loaders ?, without Crack Cocaine ?

Is Justin Couch's assertion that you must be on Crack
a true statement, or is it just another lie from Justin Couch ?

Don Brutzman: You're paying Justin Couch with taxpayer funds:

please instuct him to stop posting lies to the Java3d list.

If anyone at the Prentice Hall believes their books
are not in error -- or cares about publishing
accurate information -- please let us know.

Animation of VRML is easy with the Sun VRML Loaders.
