Ok, now I am confused. I was under the strong impression
that I simply could take the Java3D DLLs and JAR files
and bundle with my application.
In the license agreement it says that I may distribute it as
long as I:
>> (i) distribute the Software complete and unmodified and only bundled as
part of your Programs,
What does "complete and unmodified" mean?
Does this mean that I may only distribute it in the uninstalled form
(as the file java3d-1_3-beta1-win-opengl-sdk.exe) or that I may
distribute it as the jar and dll files only (the complete and unmodified set).
If it only the first option that is legal java3D becomes unusable for
many commercial purposes where completely automatical and
garanteed installation is important. I personally always recommend
people to bundle a JVM with their app to ensure that everything
runs smoothly. If the Java3D files cannot be installed the same way
it would be a serious problem. The end-user should *not* have to
know anything at all about Java or java3D during the install so
running the Java3D installer is unacceptable.
