The Dell and the Toshiba both have GeForce4 with different designations.  I am not sure if the are both MX versiosions.  The Dell is a 440 Go - so based on the MX440 as you say.  I expect the Toshiba is the same
only the Dell has 64MB versus the Toshiba 32 and considering the price difference I would go for the Dell for pure graphics performance/$.
 
I don't think a lot of games and other apps make use of the vertex shaders (at the moment) and these mobile beasts would easily handle en 'equivalent' software algorithm I'm sure.

Hmm isn't that the nv17 which is basically a MX-version of GF4 which means
say goodbye to vertex and texture shaders.
