Hi

You don't make it clear whether you are running an 8100 with a 1600x1200
screen or whether it's a smaller screen and you're using a larger virtual
desktop? How big is your model (in tiles - the Sun Fly through will tell
you if you don't know) and what bit depth are you using?

I have a UXGA 4100 with the 32MB GeForce2Go and have seen no problems.

Subject: [JAVA3D] Drastic framerate drop between 1600x1200 and 1280x1024

Hello all!

That about captures this phenomenon.
I am experiencing a "Drastic framerate drop between 1600x1200 and
1280x1024".
I am running a Dell Inspiron 8100 w/ 512MB ram, 32MB GeForce2Go, the latest
J3D 1.3 beta 1 and the lastest jdk 1.4. I am using the latest NVIDIA video
drivers.

I have a Swing based GUI, but nothing fancy.
I am not doing any anti-aliasing. (driver OR j3d)

I can open my app at 1280x1024 and it runs fine. If i resize using the
mouse, about halfway between 1280x1024 and 1600x1200 the framerate drops
from something like 30fps to less than 1! I also notice my objects in the
scene seem to have some sort of artifacts around their edges that arent
there when the framerate is fine.

Thoughts?

Sincerely,
Ian Nieves
