Christian:

Other folks have had problems with this, and it is related to mixing
"Lightweight" Swing components with the Canvas3d, which is a heavyweight
component. Look back in the archive (I saw some under the heading "Canvas3D
not honoring layering" on March 20 of this year). There are several
suggestions that will fix you right up. You would probably also want to
check out a topic that is something like "Interoperating with Swing"
j3d.org.

Cheers,
Matt

Subject: [JAVA3D] Menus and J3D

Hello,

I am having trouble with Swing menus and J3D:

My Swing menu item is disappearing behind the canvas containing the 3D scene
and elements. Therefore I cannot access any submenus and select menu items.
Is there any solutions? For instance, when the menu is accessed or is
gaining focus can I stop the canvas from being rendered and then allow any
item from the menu to be displayed properly on top?

Thanks for any help or comment on the subject.

Christian.
