Subject: [JAVA3D] OpenGl X Java3D

Hello everyone.

I have no experience with 3D programming, but really want to start putting my hands on it..
I will programming in Java but nonetheless i'm not sure if i should turn to java3D or to openGl.
Is there any drastic speed differences between the two? Which philosophy is supposed to be a better approach (i.e. better paradigm, more elegant, etc.)?

I know this is quite a newbie question, and I should really try to learn both and then compare their usage, but i would really appreaciate some insight on the matter..

Thanks a lot!

regards,

Pedro Teixeira
