I suppose you know about that, but just in case: Import/export nwn mdl to/from studio max http://www30.brinkster.com/zaddix/NWN/ Display and animate nwn mdl in java3d http://nwn-j3d.sourceforge.net/ NWN uses separate shape for each part of body. This means fast and easy animation (only transform groups are modified, display lists can be used), but there are ugly joins between them in some cases.
