Morning,

Managed to confuse myself again this morning with Java3D (something I
do quite often :).

When I do the following;

Geometry sphereGeo = new org.j3d.geom.Sphere(0.5f, 10, new
Appearance()).getGeometry();

Shape3D newSphere = new Shape3d(sphereGeo, someAppearance);

Two things I haven't figured out occour;

1) The newSphere 'appears' to only be the top half of a sphere
(although the bottom half exists but seems to be black, ie it blocks
objects behind it but I can't see any appearance).

2) The newSphere (top half that I can see :) obeys my someAppearance
except for the texture.

I can understand point (2) as I guess it doesn't have various texture
coordinate bits setup by default but point (1) has me confused. Tried
getting the number of geometries from the Sphere but it returned just
1.

Yours cluelessly,
                          Jason :)
