I replaced the Java2 from JRE1.4 back to 1.3 and that seems to have done the
trick.
I'm back to the speed I had before at the very least...I can't tell if there
was
an improvement though...do you know of the Profiler stuff Justin mentioned?
Also, I had to install the DirectX version because the OpenGL version gave
me some 'wgl'
error when I tried to run my code. I just have to blame that on Micro$oft
though.
Now, tell me why having the JRE1.4 over 1.3 is a problem? Is the java2 have
to do with
Swing and that is what was slowing things down??? And if that is the case,
do you expect
them to fix these issues for the next version (say, 1.5 or whatever it will
be)?
