Comparing to GL4Java, http://www.jausoft.com/gl4java.html,
what is the really issue of providing an installer like GL4Java to
install Java3D JRE? I followed and searched the discussion
group regarding this issue and I couldn't find an answer!

The deployment of Java applications using Java WebStart is
really great! However, for Java3D based applications, users
have to go through an additional process to install Java3D JRE
in addition to the Java3D application you are trying to
deploy! Something the application is dependent on certain
version of Java3D. Forcing installation of the Java3D
JRE into user's Java JRE might not be a good idea.
WebStart(JNLP) provide a better controll over the libraries
that the application is dependent on.

I found in the following discussion link
http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=38&thread=166873
regarding the deployment of Java3D JRE through Java WebStart.
Is there a better way for Sun by simply provides a link for
Java3D WebStart enabled application to help with the deployment
process. Flash is doing it. GL4Java is doing it. What's the reason
for Java3D from doing it? This issue seems to appear many times
on this group and I really like to have a chance to hear a response
from the Java3D development team. If there is no further response,
maybe we in the Java3D community can work together to privde
a well documented WebStart deployment procedures based on
this discussion link provided that there is no leagal issue involved
in the distribution of the Java3D components.
