Oh, what an awful answer. Yes, hopefully, the pure version of JAI will run, that's
what it's done
for. What this guy is talking about has nothing to see with our problems, and GL4Java
i s NOT
a solution for a J3D replacement. This is pure intox.
Definitly, i think we'll never see anything like j3D on OSX. I mean, if they were
commited to do it,
we would already have positive (meaning no 'polite and diplomatic nonsense' )
responses from
sun, apple or blackdown.

Experience says that when two parties say that they are working toghether and nothing
is
done (in YEARS!!! ) they both have problems they don't want to admit.
My guess is that none of them wants to do it for free, and none wants to pay the other
to do the port.
Is blackdown paid by sun for the port? (or given a free license so no money is
involved)
Can someone else get a similar license for OSX? Is there a price?

Then, there is the blackdown guys, that read the forum and did not answer the question
about the osx port
and license restriction.
Maybe simply noone in sun, apple or blackdown sees that a port is needed. Maybe they
simply don't care.
Maybe we're just morons to them, and there's nothing to do with that.. bah.

Rant mode off...
