Hi I've finally given up and tried the overlay code from j3d.org, only to find it has the same issue as my code, so I'm guessing this is a j3d issue, it's not consistantly reproducable mind. Occasionaly transparencies are all displayed over the opaque objects in the scene (for the duration of that program run), it's as though the depth buffer checking is disabled for all transparent objects, but only some times, mostly the scene is correct, but about 5% of runs it doesn't come out right. Anyone else see this (especially people using the overlay code from j3d.org), and more importantly, anyone know of a fix or a work around?
WinXP SDK 1.4.2 Java3D 1.3.1 non beta openGL version Geforce 4 Ti4200 44.03 detonator drivers
Cheers
