Hello, You would be able to do this quite easily by just generating the 2D image and texturing it onto a geometry of some kind, probably just a simple 4 point quad array.
As far as updating, you can either regenerate an image, and replace the first one, or look at using ImageComponent by reference, which will allow you to continually modify the same image.
