The parts of the process I (think I) know are: 1) let install the jre 1.31 or above 2) let configure the browser to use the jre 3) include the java3d packages in the webpage 4) include your own classes in the webpage
then there are issues about: 1) where to put the packages 2) differences between browsers and OS's 3) already installed parts 4) Direct3D or openGL I think it should be possible to streamline/automate this process for the end users, maybe in the form of a wizard and with help from SUN. Please let me know if I am correct and if there are any inportant steps missing. A detailed discription of the whole procedure from the point of view of the end user would be a great starting point.
