I have seen little evidence of anyone using VRML in the real world for the last 3-4 years. It is one of those "neat idea, never quite went anywhere" kind of things, as far as I can tell.
I mean I'm sure it is being used by some people, but by and large it comes across as cumbersome, hard to use and subject to a dearth of good tools for creating and displaying scenes. Although I'm not keen at all, these guys ( http://www.web3d.org/ ) seem pretty excited about it and I'm sure they spend more time thinking about it than I do. -ben -----Original Message----- From: Discussion list for Java 3D API [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Franck Calzada Sent: 28 May 2004 09:53 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [JAVA3D] java3d and EAI Hi all, Does anyone have experience with EAI / VRML and JAVA3D? If so, do you think it's a good technology? Is it gonna be enhanced? Is it the best way to get/set information from/to a vrml file?
