I don't know of any Java3d websites aside from j3d.org that have seen any updates over
the last few years.

The best and most immediate source of information about java3d, in my experience, is
this list. That is exactly where the guys on j3d.org got that information from. The
sources this was coming from were the same people who we had represented the java3d
development team on this list over the previous years. The fact that we heard nothing
to contradict this from Sun for many months until the release of java3d for osx
suggests to me that they were giving very serious thought to dropping java3d
altogether. They could very easily have avoided all the questions about the survival
of java3d if they had bothered to keep us posted at all over that time.

If it is not true, the host of j3d.org should remove it from the j3d
website, because so far some people like me regard j3d as the official
information source for j3d.

By the way, are there any more java 3d websites?

Thanks

Does this information have to be true only because it can be read in the
internet? I'd think such an information must be correct only if it can be
read somewhere on sun.com, java.com or java.net
